Bridget Masinga

Bridget Masinga is a popular small screen actress and presenter, media and fashion personality, radio host, and glamorous MC, Facilitator and Speaker on the corporate circuit.

Thousands tune in to her daily show on Kaya, 2017 and 2019  Station of the Year.

The Durban born beauty has been a sought after face since she became known  as ‘the pit-bull in the skirt’ in the  Miss SA  finals 2002. Crowned 2nd runner-up in the 2002 Miss South Africa contest, Bridget was  catapulted into a successful modeling career. She  was the face of  a number of top brands including Levi’s, MTN and Edgars, the Vaseline Aurora media campaign 2011-2012 and the face of Organic Root Stimulator 2013.   

Television work includes MNet’s  glitzy  “All Access” show, as one of the four gorgeous presenters,  but her personal brand of fabulousness was cemented way before that.

In 2005 Bridget’s unique brand of bubbly radio chatter earned her a loyal following as the host of The Elevator  the pre-breakfast slot on YFM 99.2 GP’s hottest frequency.

She hit the small screen as an actress in 2006 on SA’s most watched and longest running soap Generations, in which she played the role of the controversial and challenging  Zoe. She has been playing the role of “rich girl” Theresa Nyawose in the SABC1 drama series Bay of Plenty in October 2007.

Bridget presented the popular music programmes Selekta and Beatlab on GO! Before her role as co-presenter of MNet’s  popular quiz show, Temptations, followed by The Movie Show, replacing Nicole Fox. 

Bridget was the host of the first two seasons of the Mzansi Magic reality series The Road to Miss South Africa (2011 and 2012) and a co-host of the 6th Annual SAFTA Awards, in 2012.

In 2013 she had a role on the Mzansi Magic drama series Rockville and also guest starred in the Mzansi Magic soap opera isiBaya, and played the lawyer, Iris, in the second season of the show in 2014.

In 2015 she was one of the 10 celebrity contestants on the eighth season of the reality competition Strictly Come Dancing,  partnered with professional dancer Dennis Sifiso Maseko.

Radio has been her main beat since 2015.  She presented Jacaranda FM’s weekly mid-morning show before moving on to The Home of the Afropolitan, Kaya FM. At Kaya she presented the Liberty Radio Awards nominated “Late Nights with Bridget Masinga” before taking over the iconic weekly midday show, 12H00 — 15H00pm in July of 2015. Her show, focused on arts, culture and lifestyle, is called The B-Side with Bridget Masinga.
