Born on the cusp of South Africa’s new dawn, Lebo Lion is a rainbow nation millennial marketer from the humble streets of Vosloorus township and the bustling corridors of Johannesburg, a unique combination of grit & street smarts.

The daughter of a Woolworths trolley parker turned entrepreneur, & cleaning lady turned corporate executive Lebo Lion is the product of resilience against all odds & success that can only be acquired through hard work, talent, & passion.

 

Her first tech company, Mzansipad, designing tablets & educational software for children in disadvantaged communities in 2013, pioneered paperless learning initiatives in government schools. 

 

The feats that Lebo Lion achieved with Mzansipad gained her recognition as True Love Magazine’s class of 2019, that celebrates South African women who are building the future of Mzansi.

 

​Lebo Lion has over 7 years experience designing online and offline event assets & lead generation programmes that help organizations build & strengthen their relationships with internal & external stakeholders.

 

The success of Lebo Lion’s work often equips organizations with marketing assets that they consequently acquire into the organizational structure and/or leading to million rand financial investments from sought after investors.

 

Lebo Lion’s exposure to entrepreneurship & diverse communities as a child & young adult  is what ignited her curiosity for learning, people, & independent thinking from a very early age.

 

As the Founder of international marketing agency, BEOPLE SA, Lebo Lion exposes the diverse & complex makeup of African consumers to brands & corporates in order to create relevant, authentic, & honest campaigns, offerings, & marketing communication for listed brands.

 

This has led to her recognition by business elites Africa, as a 40 under 40 African Business Icon for 2020.

 

As an international speaker, who has spoken for globally renowned organisations such as  Facebook, Momentum, & 67 CEO’s, Lebo Lion shares unconventional ideas about marketing, technology, entrepreneurship, & personal development on the African continent.

 

Her love for the diversity of the African continent has led Lion to transforming over 1000 SMEs through digital marketing & innovation training masterclasses offered within incubation programmes for companies such as Telkom, Redbull, & Business & Arts South Africa.
